A Panic Button on your phone
For anyone: you don't have to live in one of our properties. Our own control centres see your alert and where you are, and send help.
Two services. Choose one, or both.
The app is free to download. You pay only for the services you choose, and the Panic Button shows an alert only for a service that has been switched on for you, so nobody relies on help that isn't there.
Ambulance Alert
Our ambulance control centre is alerted at once, sees who you are, what is wrong and where you are, and sends an ambulance. You see in the app when it was sent and when it arrives. Your medical aid and next of kin, which you keep under My Account, are shown to the control centre only once it has accepted your emergency.
Security Alert
Our security command centre is alerted at once, sees who you are, where you live and where you are, and sends armed response. You follow the help coming on a map, as when following a ride.
How you join
Ask to join
Fill in the request: your details, your home address, the services you want, and the username and password you will sign in with. No payment is taken there.
We switch on your services
Our office contacts you, arranges payment with you and switches on the services you chose. You can ask for the other service later, in the app.
Sign in, and you are covered
Open icare.nothaprop.co.za on your phone, add it to your home screen and sign in. Allow location when the app asks, and add your photo, medical aid and next of kin under My Account.
What our control centres see
- Your name, photo, phone number and the home address you gave.
- Where your phone is, only while an alert is open. The position is deleted when the alert is closed.
- For an Ambulance Alert, your medical aid and next of kin, only once the control centre has accepted the emergency.
See our privacy policy and terms of use.
Good to know
- The app must be able to reach the internet, and location must be allowed, for help to find you.
- Keep your home address up to date under My Account: the control centres go by it when your phone can't give its position.
- You can cancel an alert yourself if you are safe.
I Care alerts only the services you have. It does not call the police or the fire brigade, and it calls an ambulance only if the ambulance service is switched on for you. In a life-threatening emergency also call 10111 (police), 10177 (ambulance) or 112 from any mobile phone.
