Rentlink Students and Rentlink Residential
Delete your account
How to ask for your Rentlink Students or Rentlink Residential account and your personal information to be deleted.
How to ask
- Contact us (see Contact us) and say which account you want deleted: Rentlink Students or Rentlink Residential.
- Give your full name and your username (and your student or tenant number, if you have one).
- We confirm that the request comes from you, and tell you when it is done. This normally takes no more than 30 days.
Students and tenants can also ask at the office of their property.
What is deleted
- Your account, so that nobody can sign in with it.
- Your contact details, your student or tenant card and its photo, your visitor passes and the list of your devices.
- The details of the person responsible for your rent, unless they are still needed for money that is owed.
What we must keep
- Rent, deposit and payment records, for as long as the law requires financial records to be kept.
- The history of tickets, jobs and emergency alerts at a property, with your name removed where the record is no longer needed in your name.
- Messages you sent in chat rooms stay visible to the other people in those rooms, without your contact details.
If you still live in the property
While you live in a property that uses Rentlink Students or Rentlink Residential, your account is how you receive your rent statements, report problems and admit visitors. If you ask for it to be deleted, the office will explain what that means for you before going ahead.
